As Brock Solutions continues to grow and respond to the on-going requirements of major clients, we need to add talent to our base of outstanding professionals. We are currently seeking an On-site Control Systems Support Specialist to join our team of experienced professionals in Charlotte, NC. 

As a member of the service team, you will be tasked with important role of providing front-line support services to our customers for their IT systems including systems developed by Brock Solutions. A successful candidate in this role will be customer service oriented as well as resourceful when dealing with issues that arise.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide first level technical support for incoming IT requests.
  • Design/Programming of human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
  • Trouble shooting of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
  • Interfacing with real-time database applications to manage critical production information
  • Site commissioning and installation
  • On-call service/support for existing installations
  • Troubleshooting a variety of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
  • Resolving mission critical issues/outages for high profile customers
  • Interact with customers and understand the client processes
  • Programming/modification of PLC systems
  • Programming/modification of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
  • Assist users with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software with in established standards and guidelines.
  • Interact with customers and understand the client processes.
  • Apply the latest innovations in data analytics to decision making and execution
  • Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including analysts, and software engineers, to integrate data solutions into business applications.
Qualifications Required:
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new systems and follow procedures/processes
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, MS-Office 2016 A professional and courteous manner while triaging both hardware and software issues
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to learn new technologies independently
  • Aptitude for Programming (C, C#, VBA, SQL, Ladder Logic, or other languages)
  • Knowledge of PLCs (e.g. ControlLogix, Modicon, Siemens S7) is an asset
  • Knowledge of HMIs(e.g. FactoryTalkView, Wonderware, iFix) is an asset
  • Familiarity with IT/Networking and database application is an asset
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of industrial environments, engineering and production processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Automation, Industrial Engineering or college equivalent
  • Ability to complete all security clearance requirements that may be required for the performance of the work
